Overview
The Kyoritsu KEW 3552 is a digital insulation and continuity tester that Kyoritsu describes as among the fastest in its class, taking about 0.5 seconds per reading. It offers six insulation test voltages (50, 100, 125, 250, 500 and 1000 V) with auto-ranging up to 40.00 GΩ at 1000 V.
Diagnostic tests for Polarisation Index (PI) and Dielectric Absorption Ratio (DAR) help assess insulation condition over time, and the KEW 3552 adds memory for storing results. Continuity is tested at 200 mA or more, and AC/DC voltage is measured to 600 V. It is rated CAT III 600 V / CAT IV 300 V and IP40, and comes with a test lead that has a remote test switch.
