Overview
The Kyoritsu MODEL 5406A tests residual current devices (RCDs/RCCBs/ELCBs) rated at 10, 20, 30, 200, 300 and 500 mA. It applies ×½, ×1 and ×5 test currents, a DC test and an auto-ramp, and shows the tripping time digitally with 1 ms resolution.
It handles standard, selective, type AC and type A (DC-sensitive) devices. A 0° / 180° phase-angle switch allows repeatable readings, and a constant-current source keeps mains fluctuations from affecting accuracy. Three LEDs check socket wiring and show reversed phase and neutral. It works on 230 V 50 Hz supplies, has an IP54 case and conforms to IEC 61557-6. Each unit in this listing comes with a KEW test certificate.
